Well it's Sort of related to Suspension
The rig I just aquired has a brand new set of Wheel Vintiques Corvette Rally's
still in the boxes, he never opened them, he has bags on the front and rear, I heard him say in a thread it had the "Tall" cups in the front so it could go a lil lower, and I got a c-notch kit w/ it for the rear, not installed yet, finally here is my question, the rims are 17 x 8, what size tires would you run on them?

17x8! I wish! Man, I would love to get my mits on those.
Depending on how low you want it, a 245x60/17 would fit with a nice look. Not sure what size you run now though. Last edited by jimmydean; 10-17-2006 at 04:23 PM. |

Im gonna say with the airride you are probably gonna want to go with a 50 series tire. Maybe a 255/50/17

Re: Well it's Sort of related to Suspension
I meant what you have on the truck now vs. what size to put on the 17's. I'm a fan of trying to fill the wheel well as best I can, so you can use a tire clac to figure what size would give you the same "look" with less rubber.
Hope that makes sense. |

Nitto brand 255/50-17 is what I run on the front of my blazer. Check with Discount Tire,... they are fairly cheap.

Re: Well it's Sort of related to Suspension
im runnin 245/40/17 on the frt of my truck but a 245/45/17 will work but i went with a shorter tire in the frt thinkin that i would have tire problems clearin the frt fenders like i did when i had 45 series in the frt but just depends on how low u want to go and if u goin to take the frt fenders out or not

Re: Well it's Sort of related to Suspension
Not really concerned with brand right off the bat, my buddy's shop has 17's
for $35 a piece cash mounted and balanced, just wanting to get a feel for the look of it before I go spend alot on New tires, but his sizes really vary.
