Offset measurment for 3" drop spindles on a 76?

Looks like I will have to get new wheels for the drop but what size wheels will clear for certian with the belltech 3" drop spindles? I would like to keep 15" wheels if possible.

I used 'van' ralleys w/3" BellTech spindles & they didn't rub.

The wheels were 15x6.5" but I'm not 100% on the BS. I can look & see if I have one here to measure but they're prob in my storage unit. I'm guessing about 3.5~4" on the BS.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

If you have that info that would be cool. Seems all the wheels I'm finding localy are 15X7 5-127 -6MM what ever that means. I plan to get started first thing tomorrow on the install and I know now that my 15x8's will not clear and was hoping to get some wheels today if I needed to.

Re: Offset measurment for 3" drop spindles on a 76?

I didn't get by the storage unit to measure the van ralleys but I did measure another set of wheels that worked as well.

I had a set of 15x6" vette ralleys built a few years back for my x-wifes S-10 Blazer. These were also used on my 74 w/the same 3" spindles w/o any problems/rubbing. They have 3.5" of BS & if I remember correctly, I used the BS from the van ralleys when ordering these.

Just for those scratching their heads on this one.... I rebuilt the 74's front suspension swapping in the 3" BT spindles @ the same time. I used van ralleys w/stock 5x5 rotors first, then swapped some re-drilled rotors w/a 5x4.75 bolt pattern & used the vette ralleys until I had mt TT2's ready to go.

Re: Offset measurment for 3" drop spindles on a 76?

Well got it done except for the rear shocks they sent would not fit 2" too short at max extension so I ordered some bilstines which should be in this afternoon. The wheels fit with the minor grinding on the lower control arm and some thin washers for that extra insurance. I still plan on getting some new tires and wheels but it can wait now. Wallmart + impact gun + aluminum wheels = wollowed out holes.
