Air lift BAgs

Anyone had any experience with this brand of bag. I was on suicide doors and saw these were a little cheaper. Also, can someone tell me what I should pick up along with the rear bags on this purchase. All I want to be able to do is install the rear bags and raise and lower the rear in the garage. I won't be driving this project for another year or so i'm sure, but I'ld like to nail down the rear bag install and have some control over the ride height as I seet up the front. I konw I'll need two bags, but then what else. I plan on using the same location as the rear coils for my lift and I'll fabricatte my own notch.

airlift bags suck... I will try and post the ones I purchased. They overextend easily and come apart and thats dangerous for a vehicle you drive..

Re: Air lift BAgs

Can't help you on the Air Lift bags, never used them. I myself prefer Slam Specialties, but Firestones are good aswell. You will also need to order some air line, a fitting for each bag, a tee fitting, and a schrader valve that will fit the tee fitting. This would be the cheapest and easiest way to adjust the height of the rear. Just use your shop air to fill the bags like you would your tires, and let air out to bring it down.

I also recommend the slam specialties bags. RE7's are great bags.

Re: Air lift BAgs

yea what the first guy seid i had a friend that was all excited when they came out he loved them at first but after a few months they would come apart i had to go help him o the side of the road 3 times then he ditched them and went to slams
i have 3 baged trucks and all i will ever run is slams

if you want to go cheaper and arnt going to be running more than 150 psi witc you should never need that much in the rear i would go with firestones i had a set on the rear of a 2000 silverado for 5 yrs but i never put more that 120 psi in them

Re: Air lift BAgs

so you're saying for five bucks more, a better investment would be the slam specialties RE200's that suicide has. The firestones are 69 and the slams are 75. Whats the reasoning for that, is it the higher psi rating. also, will these mount the same as the firestones in the back. They aren't wider from what I have read are they.

Yes, a better investment. You'll get a stronger bag, with internal bumpstops, they ride awesome, and will last a lot longer. And they don't balloon as much as stones or airlift bags.

I'm really happy with the way my Slams work. I would say they are work a few bucks more.
