Hi ya'll from The Old North State
Hey everybody.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to ya'll. I have been looking around this site for the past several weeks, and I think this place is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I am the proud owner of a 1968 C10 SWB, w/about 160k miles. It is in pretty rough shape, as it has been used/abused as a working farm truck since Day 1. The truck was purchased by my grandfather new in 1968, and has remained in the family to this day. It will never be sold. The truck is rough. It has all of the expected issues, such as rust, bad breaks, cracked windsheild, cold-natured carb (2bbl stock replacement BTW), bad brakes, rotted upholstery ect., ect., ect... Anyways, it is not registered for road-use now. However, it's still earning its keep around the farm, hauling stuff here and there. I look forward to spending some quality time with it, now that I've found ya'll, and can get some experienced help and opinions. I don't feel so overwhelmed reading about ya'll's trials and tribulations. I do not have any pics yet. I am hoping to get some soon for posting, as I know ya'll LOVE to see pics. (I love pics too!!!) Please bear with me while I get them together. Again, I just want to say Hi, and let ya'll know that I am here. Best regards...
