In my opinion, there isn't any situation that you're better off not having both tires putting power to the ground. Like fishmunger said, it will come around in the corners while on the gas, but once you learn how to behave yourself, and be aware of what's happening, you adjust and you'll be fine.

I've been stuck with 3 tires on dry pavement, and the right rear just barely off the road in the snow. If I had a posi in that truck, I could have pulled straight out, instead, I had to rock back and forth until I got that one tire back onto pavement.
