New High Torque Starter/ Wiring Question
I just got one of those high torque mini starters off ebay. You know, it has the billet adjustable mounting block and all. Well, there is one large bolt with a nut to receive the positive terminal from the battery but there is only one male spade terminal to receive the other small wires. What wire goes to the small terminal? Do I eliminate one wire? I am putting in a new HEI as well. How does this play into the whole deal?
Thanks for any help |

Re: New High Torque Starter/ Wiring Question
I did the same job 2 months ago with the same questions.
I was told, if you have HEI, and I do, that you only need the one ignition wire, (purple) running to the starter and the other is the positive cable. This didn't work for me, but my mini turned out to be bad, i bought off ebay from skipwhite and he sent me another mini free of charge, but this one had 3 terminals so it didnt matter. But again, i was told you only need one wire if you have HEI

Re: New High Torque Starter/ Wiring Question
good upgrade. They seem to repel the heat great, and start everytime.
the sound they make is sweet.
