factory buckets

i recently bought an 78 shortbox, stepside. It has what it looks to be factory buckets. I am not sure if the seats are factory as they have arm rests. My dads buckets do not have arm rest and others that i have seen, do not have armrests. Any idears? I'll have pictures tommorrow.

Re: factory buckets

If they have armrests, they aren't factory. Show us some pictures of the brackets. We can at least tell you if someone added later blazer/burb buckets to a set of original pickup brackets or if they are all custom.

The passenger pickup seat is not adjustable with original brackets.

Look at the article about buckets on Jeff's site here:

Re: factory buckets

Factory brackets and tabs (which is good as they are HARD to find!), but looks like 80's Suburban or van buckets.

Re: factory buckets

Buckets were available in trucks up until 82 I believe, prices on the brackets and tabs vary...seen them go for as little as $75, and as much as $200 (with seats).
