FYI: Factory Topless Blazer Side Door Window Opening Caps

I found this pair at a semi-local GM dealer (this is not the same set that was on eBay recently). I was told these parts were discontinued in 1983. Part numbers are as follows:
  • Driver's Side: 3962531
  • Passenger's Side: 3962532

They are both gray fiberglass (I don't know why the driver's side is black on top). To use them as is requires cutting the entire door frame off. If a person wanted to retain the vent window, these door window opening caps could be trimmed accordingly.

I sacrificed an old door with issues to take the pictures due to these requests:
Enjoy!

Re: FYI: Factory Topless Blazer Side Door Window Opening Caps

I'm sorry. I'm having a new roof put on my house and everything that was in the attic is now in my computer room!

Once I find the article I WILL scan it, but so far I haven't found it...

Re: FYI: Factory Topless Blazer Side Door Window Opening Caps

Hope this works...

Notice the door caps, no window cranks, and no vent window frame.

Also weird is the bench seat and the wide wheels... I wonder if this one is a prototype...

Re: FYI: Factory Topless Blazer Side Door Window Opening Caps

Hey there is a cool idea. For the trucks remove the gas tank from inside the cab and mount a spare. Well I guess if there is room and you could get it in and out from behind the seat.

Oh well I guess not such a good idea afterall.
