Pics of Finished Paint job, 81 chevy 4x4 lwb 350
I always like checking out the trucks on this site, so here are some pics of my truck before sealer and paint and pics of my truck almost finished. I have more new trim pieces coming for it like new drip rails for above the doors, new interior aluminum trim for the doors + pull straps, mirrors and a few others, but most is all together. It is a bit dirty, but you get the idea

Damn, that's purty!! How'd you end up with the quad headlight system, but mine only has the two? And yours has a hood ornament!! I'm jealous!!

I bought an 87 blazer which had all original gm parts and the hood was one of the jems it had on it... great condition with factory underlay still intact under the hood. The seats, seat belts and console are also out of the blazer.

What did the seats come out of? What modifications did it take to make them work?

The seats are out of an 87 blazer and it took a trip to the local welding shop to fabricate some brackets for it, but I am very happy with the bucket seats. Very comfortable and a big improvement from the worn out sloped bench seat.

Re: Pics of Finished Paint job, 81 chevy 4x4 lwb 350
Thanks guys, glad u like it. There are pretty much all new panels except for the hood which had no rust and the box which came from texas (no rust). It was just undercoated, but i plan on keeping it clean as much as i can and keeping a good coat of wax on it. The only problem is, i was told not to wax it for a good month in order for the clear coat to completely harden and cure.... i wonder if i can wait that long.. lol

Re: Pics of Finished Paint job, 81 chevy 4x4 lwb 350
yeah another great way to prevent against rust is to have beed linner applied to the underside. also a freind of mine that does comerchial plowing uses his old gear oil to coat his frame. Lets it sit for a while so all sediment goes to the bottom, heats it up, then sprays it on. Porbibly not to enviormentally freindly but his truck has no rust underneath.
