Help!!! What emblem is missing??

I bought a 72 Blazer and the glove box has some holes in it where an emblem should be. Attached is a photo....The Blazer has factory air, but how do I know if it is a CST package? Will it say something on the glovebox sticker? There are no emblems saying CST on the door...but the vehicle has been re-done with new doors.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

I'm am not sure of the best way to tell if it is a CST. I can say that my 72 CST has tilt, air, and all the trim (they could be ordered alot of different ways though). It also has this emblem on the glove box. Sorry for the old bad pic, but it is all that I have on this laptop. It says "Chevrolet CST"

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

Throw a CST emblem on there anyway. Will look better than holes.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

You have a chrome T-case shifter, yours is a CST truck.

The emblem will be correct.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

Thanks Guys! That helps...it say's Cheyenne Equipment on the glovebox sticker. My next question is ....they make 2 different types of emblems. One says "Chevrolet CST" like Critter's. The other says "Chevrolet Custom". Any idea which one will line up with those holes? According to LMC, the Chevrolet CST emblem was for 69 and 70 Blazers and the Chevrolet Custom emblem was for 71 and 72 Blazers. Is this correct??

Well that sure does suck! I guess mines not original. I know the truck is a 1972 so I guess the emblem or the entire glove box door has been changed.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

The basic interior trim package was Custom with the least options. Then went up from there With Custom deluxe, Chyenne, and Chyenne Super. Since your glove box sticker is the Chyenne, I would put the CST emblem on it.

Nothing in stone that say's LMC is 'always' correct, my 71 is an original CST truck and has the CST emblem on the glove box door.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

I like the CST emblem better than the Custom emblem.....just wanna make sure the emblem I buy is the one that will line up with the existing holes! I didn't know if LMC was correct either.....but figured you guys would know for sure.

Speaking of the current holes...is there three in your door? Has the far left one been covered with putty/paint? I can take some measurements of mine tonight so you will at lease know if the "CST" emblem will fit. I wonder if either emblem would fit, alot of the times GM did that.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

Going by the one on my shelf, the pegs are 3" apart.

This is on the back of the Chevrolet|CST emblem.

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

Great! The holes are 3" apart...so I'll order a CST emblem for the glovebox door. Thanks VT!
Critter....yup, there are 3 holes, and the farthest left looks like it has a piece of the original emblem broken off in it. Guess I'll have to figure out how to dig that out before putting a new emblem on there. Your probaby right about either emblem fitting...but I like the one like your's the best!

I have (2) 72 CST Blazers. One is 2wd and the other is 4wd. They both have the CST emblems on them.

Very nice. Body looks clean. No moldings. What kind of wheels are going to run?

Re: Help!!! What emblem is missing??

Big Block...I'm not sure on wheels yet. I usually like to lift my trucks and throw on some bigger meats....but I'd like this one to fit in my garage. Think I'll try to find an 8" wide wheel and some 33's. I'm going to look at wheels tomorrow!
Yup Luv...I bought it on Evilbay. It was only 1 hour from home....so I just couldn't pass it up. It's very clean...IMO...all new paint and everything rebuilt in the last 3 years. I'm hoping new wheels and tires will set it off.
