Looks great!! Looks like you kept the 8 lugs? My PO put disks up front but I have no idea what they came off of.

Re: First look: Dropped 3/4 ton
How did those spindles go together? I have got to look up the Performance Online web site. This is a huge plus for us 8 lug guys.
Are you in Napavine? I think somebody in Napavine near Torgersons's has an early Chev streetrod PU. I have seen one at the local Good Guys shows.

Re: First look: Dropped 3/4 ton
Thanks Guys,,
'KAILUAZ & Bob Moore : Right -on should have titled it: 8-lug low$$ conversion POL- supplied the 8-lug 2 1/2 dropped spindles w/ rotors,,I had been wanting to ditch the drums but POL came thru. I'm having the local shop install a new power brake booster also, - formerly it just had drums and ' two feet ' braking w / all the weight of a1600 lbs camper. Selling price of the camper plus $$ is paying for this , So I figured it should be done professionally. I'm over on the Peninsula- sweet,...Port Townsend The folks at POL are supper to deal with and like most vendors here- offer great phone service/help - no matter how many times you call... alas:....LOOKS like I'll be ordering 2 off set front wheels,. that way i won't mess up the speedo jim

I've never been a lowered truck fan, but after looking at yours and getting a glimpse of what mine might look like, I may have been converted. That looks fantastic!! Can't understand why more people don't like the longbeds!
Great job!

Re: First look: Dropped 3/4 ton
Thanks everyone for looking,...!
here's the link again; www.Performanceonline.com. Cost is relative- very reasonable for new-parts, nothing overtime cant take care of- plus the sale of the camper was a big chunk of $$. Say 1LoC10- that Alaskan was a swell unit- I had the factory here in Wa. remove & do the swap. New owner had peace of mind, check/ update systems. The tour of the factory was awesome- Owner is the son of the ' right hand man' of founder R.D Hall.Still making em' like the did in 1958. Seventy1- I'll check tomorrow & get back Longhorn man- 4" drop Coils in rear Chevyholic- I'm really pleased- have to figure out front tire (or wheel setback) size though. Good news for us - It's not not really a LONG bed or SHORT bed. A Just right bed !. Spindles/Rotors are MASSIVE Go For It ! I just wanted a ' sleeper '. I'd say for $ 1K in parts ( includes master brake booster ) . It's just what the wife wanted- now I'm happy. Thanks everyone,.. jim

Re: First look: Dropped 3/4 ton
Looks great, that's a nice clean truck. I'd love to do a similar drop on my '72 but it's heavy duty leafs in the rear.

Same boat with the leafs,,, looks like a flip kit is the easiest/cheapest, but may or may not require a c-notch.

Re: First look: Dropped 3/4 ton
have been waiting awhile for a 3/4 ton drop. Tough sell on the Alaskan camper, beautifull unit. keep a post when you decide on the front tire size. Now I'm on my way for my 72 3/4 Sub. (one more item, bag assist for my rear coils) anyone?
