Re: Check this out

That is awesome!! Does anyone know the name of the movie?

Also, who else saw all the other 73-87's in there?

EDIT: I find it funny how both the driver and passenger stay put in the seat around those turns. Anyone who has driven a truck with a bench seat even close to like that knows how fun it is being slammed against the door or person next to you!

Re: Check this out

Thats a sweet chase. I counted a couple of other c/k's that they passed, a couple of novas and what looked to be the same 73 or 74 chevelle they passed at least 2 to 3 times.

Plus did anybody notice the truck went from having a 4 speed to an auto and then back again???? I could have sworn I spotted him the truck driver grab for a column shifter.

Re: Check this out

That definitely wins the lowered 2wd category but can it really compete with this show?

My son is into monster trucks....I wonder how long I'll have to sleep on the couch for building a replica.

Nice! I bet it's a ***** to drive that truck tho, with the front lowered so much the effective caster angle is right about zero. Still a cool truck tho

Re: Check this out

I found this about it- More here

Goofs: When the Driver first takes off in the red truck, you can clearly see him working a floor mounted gearshift (almost falling into the dashboard during one shift)... later during the chase sequence, the close-up cuts to him working a column shifter, then back to a floor shifter in wider shots

Re: Check this out

It is indeed the movie The Driver I dl it some time ago but the health now is s**t and you would be flat out getting it heres the better option

http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-DRIVER-NEW-D...QQcmdZViewItem

for six bucks you can't go wrong lol

The other movie is Thunder Run from 1986 the movies opening scene is a drag race between a NOS injected yellow C10 and the C10 finishes out the movie with a crazy chase from the terrorists. Here is some more infohttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090169/

I proberly saw this movie late one night about ten yrs ago when I was about 12. It left an impression but its near impossible to find lol.

Hooper was also another movie Burt Renyolds is a stuntman with a K10 and a rocket powered Firebird but again s**t health to dl but is possible to get on ebay

I remember that movie, that was one badass 18-wheeler they were driving. Wonder how long that tractor's frame was to fit the engine, the cab, the massive sleeper, the box for the C10, and still be able to haul a semi-trailer... I want one like that!

Re: Check this out

Every car guy loves an awesome chase in a movie. Too bad that most of the newer ones are all CGI and stuff. I think they were better back when they were actual cars doing actual crazy stuff.

I got inspired by this thread and put together a cheesy "Five best movie car chases of all time" post up on my new blog. Check it out if you guys have some time.

http://www.automotiveblogger.net/the...s-of-all-time/

If this is a forum violation or something, I apologize in advance. I'll edit out this link if it gets under anyone's skin.
