FYI on 55 - 59 Rear Disc's on a 10 bolt.
I ran accross a fellow truck builder (I for got his screen name here) last week end and saw his factory looking disc setup on the rear of his 59. He had a 77 nova 10 bolt axle with 1998 - 2001 camaro rear disc brakes and best of all its a bolt on deal. He had the calipers, brackets, e-brake setup, 12inch discs, bought off ebay for about $200, Sweet deal. The only draw back was you needed 16 inch wheels if thats really a draw back and you'll need `12 -12.5 dics on the front, again not a real draw back. So this should help those that are looking for rear disc on the cheap. I was impressed with how simple it was and how clean it looked. I believe that a nova and 3100 backing plate bolt patterns are the same. Nova is bolted and the 3100 is riveted.

that was me. i will take some pictures of the setup and post them.
it is the 98-02 f-body brakes (camaro, trans am, firebird) basically the years they had the ls1 in them. you just have to flip the bracket to get them to work (mount right on left, left on right)

i think you can also use 93-97 which is a smaller rotor, and MAY clear 15's but i haven't researched that. the 98-02 is definitely the best upgrade around with 12" rotors with 1.75" single piston cast aluminum pbr calipers.
