not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
I usually hang on the 67-72 pages but came across this the other day - any chance you guys could ID it for me? Thanks.

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
between the ticks and the snakes, the 20 minute walk to it, the 20 mintue drive to it, not knowing which one is the heater switch, having my back out at the moment and needing a helicopter to get it out, it'll probably go unmolested until sometime this winter! I've been in the place a couple times... get the hibbee jeebies soon after I get in there.. It's not so much the ticks I have been able to get off quickly, it's the arm size snake skins all over the place.... sooner or later, the owners going to show up again.... ehh!
If you can give me a list of what holds what in where (cut down on the tools I have to carry) and the quick way to get stuff off, AND it's not worth like $400.... I'll see what I can do in a week or two....

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
Thats a sad looking truck!
The plate on the glove box is probably worth a little money. The clutch pedal assembly may be worth money as well. I know for muscle cars clutch pedal assemblies are worth their weight in gold. The dash gauges are the low-end idiot light style, but they would be worth money to someone that wants to try and rebuild them without the worry of ruining their own. |

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
well almost everything on the truck is 1/2" and 9/16" so those for sure. a crescent wrench would be a good thing to have. full socket set. pliers, vice grips. and maybe a hammer, lol. the heater switch is the one to the left of the the radio hole, its on a little plate that just clips in.
good luck, John

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
As for my sister - you might want to compare pics first!
IMO The only good snake is dead and wrapped around a pair of boots I did grab the hood latch and marker lights from the hood as well as the little clips (5) that hold the seal along the front edge of the hood - after seeing that snake, I'm having a hard time convincing myself to go back!

Most of the interior stuff on that truck doesn't sell worth a crap on ebay. The doors and hood if rust free are worth big money but also sounds like a big PITA to get out. I'd probably let it rust in peice.

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
Looks like that's an original column shift for an automatic. That might be worth something. Is that a short or a long bed. I know a short fleet bed is worth some bucks..If that's possible to get...

Re: not a 60's guy - can someone date this for me?
that would be a fun walk. 20 minute walk carrying a truck bed on your back, not including carrying your tools back too. lol
