Disc/drum drum/drum booster the same?

I was told disc/drum booster & drum/drum booster not the same (1/2 ton) but when I changed them they looked the same. Are they? That's the drum/drum below.

Booster and master are the same as far as I know.
You just need a different prop valve (for your front discs).

This confused the crap out of me. The boosters for our truck aren't specific, the only major requirement is that the booster will bolt to our firewall, and that the pushrod is long enough to activate the master cylinder via the booster.

So, basically, if you wanted to, as long as your MC has roughly the same bore and stroke as the stock one, you can use it. As long as the MC will bolt to the booster, you can use it with the booster, given that the booster bolts to the firewall and will work with your pushrod (Attached to brake pedal).

Orange already covered the prop-valve issue. Drum uses a distribution. Drum/disc uses a unique prop valve to control how much pressure the discs get (prevent lockup). i am uncertain about disc/disc, but 99% sure that it also uses a prop valve so that you get more pressure to either the front or back to prevent lockup.

the masters are not the same.
the boosters are not the same.
However, there's been more than one person who has used drum/drum master and booster on a disk/drum conversion, and claim it works fine.
I wouldn't do it, but they say it's fine.

what about using a drum drum booster with a 72 disc drum master cylinder on a front disc conversion.

PS - if the MC you chose was really THAT critical to the operation of your brakes, places like Summit and Jegs wouldn't carry the fifty thousand Tilton, Wildwood and SSBC "universal" master cylinders they have
