Only the last eight of the twelve digits of the '64-'66 Chevy trucks will be on the frame rail. If the VIN plate is not on the underside of the door jamb, where you head would hit if you didn't duck when getting into your truck, it may have been removed. Replacements are available online, however I do not have a link to the website. Do you have a title? If so, the last eight digits of the VIN on the title should match the eight digits stamped into the drivers side frame rail adjacent to the exhaust mainfold. Sometimes they are hard to read due to the faintness of the stamping or dirt & road grime. Good luck with your search.
