dash pad

when if ever did they change the dash pads? to 73 to 78.i'm thinking of buying that one that scott has, but he says it might not be the same as an 88 i have a 1988 surburban that i need a dash pad for,was wondering if the one scott has for sale will work.because i'm in going to send pay-pal for it but don't want to buy it and it not fit my 88 burb.

Re: dash pad

For pickups 73-80 are the same 81-87 are the same.The pad he has won't fit on your burb.An 81-87 pad for pickups will work on 88-91 blazers and burbs.The differances are very noticable,contour,defrost vents,the insert above the glove box,and the early pads would cover the vin. tag on later models.Hope this helps and good luck.

Re: dash pad

Kurt I have one on ebay that will work. I will give back 10% of the price if a site member wins the auction. You wont find a better dash pad anywhere, this pad will never crack again and I have them installed in all 3 of my trucks. I can provide more pics if you want it just gets expensive on ebay. Item #;

How will it never crack again? You said in your response on the other thread they were better than OE. Are these refurbed stock dash pads or are they aftermarket?

Re: dash pad

Kurt it is not carpet but a marerial that us used in speaker boxes. The top is sealed before it gets covered so it cannot crack. It may look like carpet but it does not act like carpet.
