Good source for engine harness?
I posted this in the electrical section a few days ago and didnt get a whole lot of response. Anyone had any luck with replacing the engine harness? My 85 has been cut and pieced way too many times and has got my gauges going crazy. I can wiggle the main wire loom and it causes all kinds of screwball things. I would think it should be easy to get one made up since I am running aftermarket carb and all just would need the basic connections.....

Re: Good source for engine harness?
I would consider trying to pull one from a donor truck...

Re: Good source for engine harness?
I know myself since I'm doing the whole truck over I'm going to be using a street rod harness. They can be had off ebay for about 200 bucks. 22 Circuit ones at that. Look to be decent with good feedback. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-CI...QQcmdZViewItem That for example. Just go look up Wiring Harness on ebay and you'll find a ton!

I would go with a painless kit. They are really nice, and I believe they make a harness specifically for out trucks. Check summit for more info and best price.

Try Factory Fit. They were making some new now but I don't know if the go all the way up to that model. I know they had some for my 81 but I just went and got a better one from a junkyard.
