Home made coldair intake system

Just finised this up today. The breather is a Schimdt, and the duct is 4" flex duct you can get just about anywhere, and the male fittings from the box are 4" pvc drain caps. The box is a century 21 sign

Re: Home made coldair intake system

Thanks for the positive comments. Some dyno test have shown up to 30+ HP gains with a cold air intake. It does look like you have the perfect hood for it slepysal I also made the same comment to my wife yesterday, and that is that the ducts look like the robots arms in lost in space, we are kind of telling our age there though

I did not think about the link to a company selling merchandise, just the dyno results. Thanks for the heads up slepysal. And agian, thanks for all the positive comments.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think he was talking about what the robot always said. "Danger Will Robinson, danger."

I have not heard any noticeable difference in sound. But what I have noticed is before I did this, throttle response would diminish somewhat after the engine had warmed up good and outside temps were up. It seems to maintain that crisp throttle response now, even after it has reached running temp.

Re: Home made coldair intake system

I used to love watching 'Lost in Space'...I was born in 71...but I was an eightys kid.

Course, when I was watching it, it was all re-runs...first in B/W then the last episodes were in the cheesy Color.
