Re: FS: Rear A/C, '71 outer $ billet inner grille, pwr mirror...
Got the stuff loaded into my truck. Thought UPS Store was open to day but no dice. I figured I would get quotes from UPS and the weight, then call around for other quotes. Should be able to get it done tomorrow.

Hi Jamie,
Just wondering what the status was on shipping the rear A/C unit. Still no hurry, just curious.

Re: FS: Rear A/C, '71 outer $ billet inner grille, pwr mirror...
I need to remove the brackets from the blower unit so it will fit in a smaller box - thanks for reminding me. Out of curiosity, are you planning to use R12 or R134? I asked around (my mechanic, the A/C shop he recommended, and Old Air) about installing the rear unit, and nobody wanted to do it or could refer me to someone who would. Then I figured since I'll be using the truck mainly to haul stuff, and because it would be harder for me to do the headliner, I didn't need the rear unit anyway. I found the reciept from when the PO bought the unit. They got it from a pick-a-part in Arizona in 2002. They paid $250 for it.

I'm not sure on the R12 or 134a. I would really like to use R12 since it does work much better in the older systems, but cost could be a major factor in such a large system.

Sorry guys, I didn't get my alternator installed until about an hour after UPS closed. My Burb is de-insured as of Nov 1, so I guess I have to get to the UPS store before then
