What does everyone think of this one?

Found this truck in a quick search on craigslist tonight when replying to another thread.

What's everyone's thoughts on it? It might be something some of you guys may want to make the trip down to look at?

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

Nah, as much as I want to I don't have any money. I'd like to go take a look at it since he's right down the road from me, but I just know I'd end up hating my truck after seeing that one.

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

It looks very nice and clean. I love the two tones. From the pictures I don't see any dents or dings in it. If there are any they must be small. Looks very clean. I'd buy it if I could but I have one truck already that I want to do some work on that looks just as good only a LWB. Great truck for whomever though.

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

i would love to have that truck for that price -- i am in too deep on my longbed project now to back off though, and abandoning it would cost me thousands.

My garage only has room for 2 projects at a time (and a whole sh----load of motorcycles)

When my 75 and 69 longbeds are done, i am probably through with these generations of trucks (famous last words-at least thats how i feel today after staying up last night til 2am turning wrenches) -- but 4900 for an above average driver seems more than fair.

I also swear to all that is holy that my next truck i buy will be either completely finished (like the one this thred is about) , or a low mileage survivor truck. My 75 long bed when complete probably will have a theoretical resale value of 6000$-8000, and i dont want to comment on how much coin has gone into it so far over and above that mark

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

that truck has been on portland craiglist on and off all spring and summer.check the oregon plates.apparently the guy flew south.i'm wondering if there's something wrong with it.it should of sold at that price.thats about the going rate for a truck in that condition around here........malo83, i'm not bragging here.other than a two tone, swb.thats pretty much where the twin ends.i think i got that much wrapped up under the hood.

I thought that it looked familar, in fact there have been some others that had a oregon - az connection. At the same time though there have been several 73-87 here in phoenix on c/l lately some at a pretty good $$ amount.

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

Yeah Boatpuller's truck was the first one I thought of when I saw it originally.

The guy was probably moving from Oregon to Phoenix and wanted to get rid of the truck before he moved. Now that he's here he still wants to get rid of it?

That's my only idea.

I'm tempted to give him a call today and go look at it. I don't have the money or anything, but just for sh*ts and giggles

Don't waste his time. I have sold many vehicles and couldn't stand showing them to people who weren't serious and only wanted to kick the tires or take them for a test drive.

It is a nice truck, looks to be well worth the asking price.

Looks good to me. Only thing I don't like is the wheels but that is a very easy fix.

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

Someone made a comment on another thread about the paint being "FLAWLESS"... IMO- I have to disagree it looks liked its spent alot of time in the hot sun (faded and shady/spotty on the sides).

If it actually an az vehicle that would be so true, but I'd take faded and baked original paint over rust any day.

I would buy it if it's as clean as it looks. Unfortunately I would have to paint it right away...

I agree that it's not perfect, and flawless wasnt the word I should have used, but I also think that alot of what you're seeing is reflection of the camera...

Im so temped to go look...

Re: What does everyone think of this one?

Looks like a good deal if the motor and tranny were rebuilt. I would sell my s10 and buy it if it was in my area. Never hurts to have two c10s.
