Looking for a picture of a lowered 2wd blazer,...

Hey guys,... I'm looking for a picture of a lowered 2wd blazer that was in a few magazines in the late 90's. It was actually a '78 model,... but it had the '89-'91 front clip. It was bright orange with a purple tweed interior. It had a big block under the hood and was a highly detailed show truck. I think Ken (N2TRUX) had some pics and maybe BigBlock73. I know the engine shot is featured on www.73-87.com in the tech section "title" picture. If anyone has this Blazer in your photos,..could you please post them. Thanks, lolife99. Here's a link to the engine pic. It's the orange underhood shot titled "engine & drivetrain".http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/7387garage.htm

Re: Looking for a picture of a lowered 2wd blazer,...

Thank you, Ken, for posting. Board member (hot trux) originally built this sweet blazer. The new owner that he sold it to, changed wheels and some underhood details, like the inner fender trim job, tubular a-arms (custom made at the time), core support smooth job, air cleaner, etc. He actually tore apart a highly detailed truck and re-did some things. You have to remember this was built in the 90's when big wheels, (17's and 18's),were just starting to show up on trucks. "Hot trux" is now building a sweet little '85 stepside on air ride and 20's. Maybe he can post some updated pics.

lolife99, I can see what you mean, he didn't miss a single detail, and was way ahead of his time when building that Blazer! That thing is immaculate, and I can't stop looking at the engine bay. hot trux definitely knows his way around a welder and sheetmetal.

What a beautiful Blazer!

Re: Looking for a picture of a lowered 2wd blazer,...

It's was an amazing build when it came out. Very surprising that it got so little attention from the mags. I think I remember maybe on article on it maybe 2 years after Chris took those pics.

While I am impressed with the original owners build quality, I can see that I would take it apart too if I bought it. The area that I feel was neglected is the core support. It amazes me how many builders do such an incredible job on details and skip doing anything to the core support.

Re: Looking for a picture of a lowered 2wd blazer,...

I assume you mean the top of it,... with all the holes left "unfilled". The back side is beautiful!
