Re: emblems
If the chrome on the emblems is pitting, there is not much you can do, however, if the chrome is in good condition, it can be polished to a high luster with a buffing wheel. After shining the chrome, I used the touch-up paint pens, found at your favorite local auto parts store (FLAPS), to repaint the backdrop and bowtie. This, along with the polished chrome, really makes them pop.
The 10 Series emblems for '60-'66 are reproduced and run about $60.00 per pair. If you have a 20 or 30 Series truck, you are out of luck with reproductions, because they are not available. Good luck with your emblems. |

Re: emblems
I got a used old set from my bro-in-law. My buddy, who is more of a perfectionist than me, polished them and painted them for me. The studs on the back of them were broken, so I put them on the truck with 2-sided emblem tape. The bowtie is painted yellow to match the truck...

Re: emblems
For the cost to have them replated and repainted, you can buy a good quality, new reproduction pair.

Re: emblems
Give these a try at: www.lmctruck.com I have purchased a few pairs for my 4-5-6 Chevy Truck projects. They are very nice reproductions.
