New as in never installed on a truck.
Sold to me as NOS... I am not 100% sure if they are or not, I suspect they may be repop. Either way, they are brand new, never installed, no damage, perfect in every way, set of 2 longhorn badges.

Also, I have a single longhorn badge, gently used, both studs still in tact, I'd give it a 8 or 9 out of ten... I am 99% sure it is an original...

What are the numbers cast into the back of the 2 new ones and the one used one?

This is why I suspect the two to be repops... ON the backside, on the verticle section of the L, it has CMD 3999621
Then, on the one that has been lightly used, in the same spot, it has R 3999821
Can you tell me anything about them? I know there were 3 seperate factory part numbers, and one of the styles (the 68 model) had an extra stud in the muddle, on the G or H. I don't know what the difference was on the other 2 P/N pieces though.

I'm still looking-
In the factory assembly manual I've found date 10-28-70 was 3960540
I'm still looking in the GM Chassis and Body Parts Catalog for numbers. If I find anything will update.

Didn't find anything in first book-
but in the 1969 Chevrolet Truck Parts Catalog I found-

70 Fleetside w/133 W.B. 3940826 Plate, side "Longhorn"

So can't confirm anything?
