Silly picture posting question
What's the deal with some people photoshopping their license plates out before they post pics? People can see the plates while going down the road, right?

Re: Silly picture posting question
Just some folks feel better not posting their tags on the Internet, which can be used to track you to a location. No biggie.

Re: Silly picture posting question
It could be just a little online anonymity. I use the reverse phone search all the time. I suppose you you spend some cash to figure out a plate or have a cop friend. Probably better that we can't because of the phone calls I would make to the A-hole who cut me off. Good question.

Re: Silly picture posting question
I've removed the license plates from my pictures, mainly because I know cops, and how easy it is to pull up the information. Not that I would do that, but in todays world, you can never be to cautious!

It always seemed kind of silly to me. Like you guys said, anybody could write it down going down the road, at a car show, driving by your house, etc, etc. If someone wants to know where you live they can follow you home. I don't know maybe I'm missing something..... LockDoc

Re: Silly picture posting question
There's a lot of weirdos on the internet. If it makes someone feel a little more secure by "fuzzing" their license plate, that's cool.
