Best way to clean aluminum?
Hey guys!
What is the best way to go about cleaning up aluminum parts? Such as serpentine belt accessory bracketry, intakes etc? I don't mind the textured look, but I would like to apply some sort of temperature resistant clear coat of some sort to keep it from corroding, and make it easier to hose off any grime that may appear later on down the road... Any suggestions?

I would clean it with a wheel bleach such as Eagle One B formula and then paint it with a can of Steel Wheels silver or some other paint designed for wheels . It is a more durable paint and looks like aluminum . It is also resistant to oil and easy to clean . Frank

I'v Sand Blasted My Brackets And Used Duplicolor Cast Aluminum Hi Temp Paint. It Looks Good. I Think Im Going To Yank My Intake Off And Paint It Even Though It Is Brand New.

I cleaned these with Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish and a buffing wheel on a cordless drill.
