__front crossmember resto/paint

What would be the logical sequence for rebuilding/repainting front suspension?
Paint while all the bushings etc are out, then reassemble?
I don't have the tools/press for installing all new bushings, ball joints etc., but I don't want to try to paint it all after a front-end shop has put new parts in.
Suggestions - what did you do?

Mask off anywhere you don't want paint and assemble later. About all I would worry about are the stud holes where the ball joints, tie rod ends etc are tight fits.
