Re: Needing help with Tire selection
I just picked up the same wheels for my 80 stepside, 15X8 and 15X7. I'm looking at 235-75-15 for the rear and 215-75-15 on the front. Thats after a flip in the rear and spindles/springs in the front.
I like the stance on your truck. |

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
Thanks, Whats on there now are the 15X7's And 225/75/12 Front,, 275/60/15 Rear.
I kinda like the way Malo83's tires "fill" the rim but he is running 8.5" wide rims, So now the fun begins on tire selection.

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
Are the wheels all the same size (15x8)? If so, Streetstars suggestion would look very consistent.
If the wheel widths are staggered, I prefer to stagger tire sizing equally. So if you choose a 215 on the front & the rear wheel is 1" wider, the rear tire size would be a 245 or as close as possible. This keeps the tire 'buldge' equal F/R. I use the thinner van ralleys on front (6.5") w/215's & ususally put 255's on 8" ralleys on the back.

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
Hey,
I just picked up a 2wd blazer that has a set on it, they are 15x8 all the way around and running Toyo Proxes P245-50 15's I like the way they look, and I will go out and put one on my C10 and post a pic for comparison. My truck is running a 5/6 static drop Drew

Been looking and Im thinking on either 245/60/15 or 235/60/15. Either or on all four.

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
agree with streetstar / 275x60 on rear / 255x60 on front - will reaally fill up your fender well -close to maxing it out , unless you want a different look.

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
So I was of a bit on the tire sizes,
What I have on the chrome wheel is a 275-60x15 tire on a 15x8 rim w/3.5 BS The other is actually a 295-50x15 tire on a 15x8 w/4.5 BS Sorry the pics are not the best, The tires measure out as follows 275-60 is 28 inches tall and 10 inches wide 295-50 is 27 inches tall and 11 inches wide After removing some leafs and adding a flip kit the pumpkin sits about 6 inches off the shop floor, the lowest part of the truck now is the bottom of the shock mounts which are roughly 5 inches off the floor.. Hope it helps a bit

Re: Needing help with Tire selection
Saw a pic of the AirRide shop truck "grumpy" I think is what they called it. Saw a pic of that truck with rallys and I like those tire sizes they had on that. Think that the look I want.
