my one ton came optioned with one kind of mirror, listed on the SPID, and on the build sheet, yet, had another style installed at the factory, aindicated by the original paint and lack of other holes in the metal.

Longhorn Man, The raised pad (hump) you are talking about, is that where the interior mirror mounts? I hadn't heard of this difference before and always like to learn new things about these trucks.

I figure it`s a`72 since the VIN says so(at least on the glovebox door it does).And,it`s obvious things have been changed over the years.But,`70s came with those marker lenses ,as well as some with hockey puck style.I`ve never had a`72 mirror mount fail.And,it has a Parchment interior with a Sandlewood steering column.So,the wheel and dash pad should be Sandlewood,too.I just assume the steering wheel and dash pad were swapped and not the column.Most Parchment trucks came with Sandlewood unless there was a tilt column (and a few exceptions).Those mirrors aren`t the factory RV Jrs or Jr West Coasts.We know they were changed.But,they weren`t offered on 71/72 anymore.Those are generic aftermarket because the factory ones don`t adjust like that.

It was a 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 automobile. I built it one piece at a time, and it didn't cost me a dime...

Longhorn - does it tick you off I put 67-68 mirrors on my 70? Or do you just like knowing what they are from?

those door mirrors look like aftermarket CIPA west coast JR mirrors,

Amazon.com: CIPA 47500, JR. West Coast Stainless...
I had a set but didn't like them, going back with my originals...

NICE truck though...

Go to the above link and you will see the thread that shows the SPID sheet which shows...Option DG4 W/C Mirrors-JR-LH & RH
These are the tri Pods on my truck are listed as JR west Coast Mirrors...that I was askng about. These came from the factory with my 70cst....

Those tri-pods are called Below Eyeline.I`ve seen the SPIDs list the wrong name before.The big trucker mirrrors with upper and lower mounts are Senior West coasts and the smaller ones are Junior West Coasts.

Ok...so what I have are actually "Below Eyeline " mirrors? Thats why I have been so confused ? From what I see...just because the SPID may list an option with a certain code...it does not mean it is correct? Now I understand what The Longhorn Man was saying. what a mess! 38 degrees, wind blowing out of the north, wind chill of 28 degrees, sleet, rain.

PERFECT day for a swap meet!!!!

did anyone see the olive green and white 4x4 cheyenne?? what a beautiful truck, little high though.

then you had the blue factory buckets, totally refurbished. $950!!!! that was not including the still-in-the-package headliner, visors, and door panels. phew, too rich for my blood.

nice to meet you Nate, Mike, and Joe!! Randy, guess I missed you. wished I'd have know about those fenders!!! grrrrrr!!!!
