Driving Lights in the Bumper
Anyone put driving or fog lights in the openings of an '82 front bumper where the turn lights were supposed to go? I've found a bumper that's in nice shape at the pull-a-part and figured I'd swap it in.
The opening is around 8" x 3" and I can't seem to find a light that's close. I've looked though KC, Hella, PIAA and some other random/el cheapo ones. Worst case scenario, I can put the clear lenses on and run another headlight circuit and mount some aux headlights down low. Just a thought anyway. Anyone have any ideas for a light that fits sorta close? |

I have no information on trucks other than mine. Other truck pictures were provided by 81-82 truck owners.
Have you looked at LMC? http://www.lmctruck.com/ICATALOG/CC/full.aspx?Page=76 Try www.jcwhitney.com. The catalogue has several lights to fill the opening. |

where did the plastic pieces in the bumper for the hose to hook up to come from.

The plastic snorkels were found at a performance shop. Racers use them to move air to cool brakes. The 3" hose is also brake hose. You can find similiar parts at www.ramairbox.com

Hey, I've done that. Here are the pics. I'm not 100% happy with it
 and it's off the truck now. I had to trim the outer bumper brackets enough to place the light assembly in there. I made a "Z" bracket to hold the light, and bolt to the turn signal upper screw holes. The lights were bought off Ebay, they are fog/driving combo. Let me know if you want more pics or info. I'm going to try it again someday. The same lights are mounted on top of a 83-87 front bumper now. David
