Talking LOOK>>>>>>>Final details on the Board Float trip

Ok, i just got off the phone with longhornjeff69. Here is the plan on the board float trip. It will be held on Friday, June 28, through Sunday the 30th, on the Current River near Salem, Missouri. We will be staying at a privately owned campground, Jason Place, near Akers Ferry on the river. On Saturday the 29th, we will canoe the river from the Cedargrove access to the Aker's ferry crossing, about 5 miles. The river is pretty easy to float, it should be easy to canoe it even if you have never canoed before. The river has lots of smallmouth bass, goggle-eye, sunfish, and even a few rainbow trout in it. There are a lot of clear deep holes to go swimming in. Anyway, it will cost $7 per-person-per night to camp at the campground, and a canoe rental is $40 per canoe per day. We need to reserve the campsites and caones ASAP before other people do. If we go ahead and reserve a group campsite, some people might not show up, and we will have to pay for their camping even if they aren't there. So this does not happen, you should reserve your own canoe and campsite in advance. The website is www.currentrivercanoe.com . They have a phone #, 1-800-333-5628. As far as food goes, there is a resturant at the campground, and a general store. It would be a good idea to bring some food that you would generally take on a picnic for eating on the float trip. Alcohol is not illegal on the river, but glass containers are.
