WOW!!! REALLY WEIRD COINCIDENCE. Mine just started doing that TODAY. I am very mad. Mine wipes once or 4 times when I start the engine. I tryed to do the windshield washer this morning - it worked for two seconds, now it doesn't work anymore! I think the switch is just bad, which is no fun to replace and costs mucho $$$. I'm going to try & look for a broken fuse first, then I'll repace the switch. I just fixed my windshield washer too! Darn gremlins...

Anyone else have a problem like this? Did the switch just go bad? I'm going to try & fix it this weekend...

On my 84 its the black module with silver fins located under yhe steer column. My delay and washer worked. Bought a used module on ebay and installed it. Now delays and washers work but if I honk the horn or put the heater control on the wipers cycle. Guess its time to buy a new module instead of a used one

Rather than a bad module, that sounds like a bad ground. I would check the resistance from the ground wire on your module to the body. If it is higher than about .5 ohm, I would check the wiring and clean connections as necessary and that might fix it.

Mine do the same thing. Especially with the delay feature. Wipe twice then stop until the next cycle. Wonder if it is supposed to work that way. I'm just happy the delay feature is working. I hope they don't act up anymore. I'm fixing to covert my '83 to the '85 wiper nozzle options. Ordered the parts from LMC last week. Should be here at the end of the week or next.
