The of the hood sitting up in the back problem has to do with worn out hinges I am in the middle of that part of the project now I have no springs on the hinges and it sits really nice> I am going to GM to get a new pair this week .and it's not heavy to lift the hood. Hope that helps. Later Mario
Update I bought a new set from GM $87 Can. per side.
