The GM 350C tranny was one with a lockup converter. They came on the Mid 80s trucks and did pretty fair jobs on their application. Most tranny shops did not want to touch them, because the output shft on them was smaller than a standard 350. The option was then to just install a 700 R4 and get lower first gear and the OD gear also.
