Post Spindles same?

Anyone have a clue whether a set of '74 G-10 Van spindles are same as a set of light duty C-10 spindles in 78 or so ??
How could I find out?

I have Hollander's Interchange CD rom installed on my computer at work. I am off on Monday but I will check first thing Tuesday morning if no one has answered your question by then. In the meantime you could call a junkyard and see if they might tell you.

So I saved the '74 spindles for no apparent reason, hmmm
Would '72 spindles be same as light duty
'73-'80 spindles, by chance???
Thanks for helping..
basically what Im trying to do is, I want to use the 78 Big10 spindles for the 68 project truck, then swap on a set of light duty spindles to keep the 78 driveable till a better cab (and front clip) for it comes along....
But I have the '74 van spindles mixed up in the pile of truck spindles, so.......
have at least 6 sets laying here.... '71-'80

Thumbs up

Fast, don't throw them away yet. Paul is technically correct but Hollanders does say you can use them. You need to use the outer tie rod ends for the 74 G-10 van. If you do this it is the equivalent (for interchange purposes) of having a G-20 spindle set-up. Therefore your 74 G-10 spindle when you use the G-10 outer tie rod end will fit the following:
BLAZER/JIMMY (full size) 73-82 4x2
CHEVROLET FORWARD CONTROL 73-80 10 Series
CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCK 73-80 10 Series; 4x2
CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCK 81-87 10 Series; 4x2, 1-1/4" thick rotor
CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCK 88 10 Series; 4x2
CHEVROLET VAN 73-82 20 Series
CHEVROLET VAN 75-92 10 Series
CHEVROLET VAN 83-92 20 Series; vacuum assist brakes
GMC FORWARD CONTROL 73-80 1500 Series
GMC PICKUP TRUCK 73-80 1500 Series; 4x2
GMC PICKUP TRUCK 81-87 1500 Series; 4x2, 1-1/4" thick rotor
GMC VAN 73-82 2500 Series
GMC VAN 75-92 1500 Series
GMC VAN 83-92 2500 Series; vacuum assist brakes
SUBURBAN 73-80 10 Series; 4x2
SUBURBAN 73-80 1500 Series; 4x2
SUBURBAN 81-87 10 Series; 4x2, 1-1/4" thick rotor
SUBURBAN 81-87 1500 Series; 4x2, 1-1/4" thick rotor
SUBURBAN 88 10 Series; 4x2
SUBURBAN 88-91 1500 Series; 4x2

Hope this helps.

Ok, I just found those van spindles, they were buried, thy have car bolt pattern wheel studs, and are 7/16" instead of 1/2" like on trucks...
So, I can definitely use them, correct?
Can I swap a truck rotor on them, bearings same?
Thanks again !
