Fixing door lock
I am so pissed at fixing the driver side door lock. I have installed these many times and this one is driving me crazy. Its a 1977 and the drivers side worked side was messed up and would not work . We put a new latch in and worked fine with the existing tumbler. The right side tumbler was shot so we put in the new lock and it worked fine. The key does not match now so we replace the drivers side with the new tumbler. Now we can;t get it to work again. These are oem tumblers. Any ideas? I am about ready to give it to the customer and tell him to fix it himself I am so pissed at myself

Re: Fixing door lock
Yes to both. It will open and close the latch but will not turn enough to remove the key.

Re: Fixing door lock

Anytime.. I know how you feel.. do something 100 times without a problem and #101 just falls apart.. makes you just want to set it on fire!
Good luck! |
