?? GM Column mount 53

Does anybody have a photo of the mount on a GM column with a column shift. Do I need to trim the collar back a bit? This is on my 53 3 window

I guess I forgot to mention that it is a late model chevy van column. I was trying to make this simple without adding a lot of braces and use the four mounting bungs on the column.

I figured you were speaking of a late model column but was not sure I don't know of anyone making one but they probably have.

if you want to use a column that fits the stock column mount you could try one from a 68 chevy truck. that is what i am using in my 54 gmc but mine is a stick shift column since my truck is going to have a floor shift. the length is a really nice fit too. sorry don't have any pics for u though.

On my old '47 panel, I used a van column. I modified a 2" muffler clamp to hold the column and that tied in with the S-10 brake pedal assembly.

I'll look for pics when get a chance... swamped at work!

I used an exhaust clamp at the top and a floor mount ball and socket on the firewall.
