adding Dakota Digital LED's to our catalog this weekend.

I should be adding Dakota Digitals LED inserts for the 67-72 and 73-87 (91) trucks this weekend.

This is what the 73-87(91) look like: (Tail Light housing and lens are not included)

Pricing for the 73-87 (91) will be $244.95
Pricing for the 67-72 will be $144.95

Re: adding Dakota Digital LED's to our catalog this weekend.

Any comments on the fitment? I bought new aftermarket replacement lenses to replace my faded foggy originals, and they fit so poorly that I put the foggy stockers back in.

As indicated in the first post it is only the LED pieces: (Tail Light housing and lens are not included) the picture is how it would look when installed. If you look at the 67-72 version you will see what the kit is below the lense.

Re: adding Dakota Digital LED's to our catalog this weekend.

I would like to get a set from you as you're a supporter. I have a 77 swb. but I need to ask a question first. What makes yours $144.00 more a set than LMC? I think this a legitimate question. I'm not trying to be a smart__s or anything. I Need to know what I will be investing my hard earned money in.

God Bless, Terry

Re: adding Dakota Digital LED's to our catalog this weekend.

They aren't "mine" they are made by Dakota Digital which I am a distributor for. I can only go by what I see as I don't know anything about LMC's version. It appears that Dakotas have more LED lights and they carry a limited lifetime warranty, which is pretty good considering LEDs have about a 10 year life...

Re: adding Dakota Digital LED's to our catalog this weekend.

Ok, I haven't had much time to install these, but here they are. They have 48 LED's, and they are a simple plug in. The only special step is the 3M tape that is on the tab. The lense housing must be cleaned and you are done..

Here are the steps with #4 being where you clean and stick the tape.
Back:

Front:

Pic doesnt do it justice, but the left is the LED right is stock. It is 3:00pm in daylight. They are noticable!

Step one, remove bolts

Step 2, remove lense and bulb:

Step 3, plug in tail:

Step 4a, test the light:

Step 4b, secure the tape:

Step 5, replace the lense:

Positives: SIMPLE installation, Lifetime warranty, reversable, no wire cutting, no stock modification, 48 LED's.
Negatives: None!
Total install took 5 minutes only because the lenses were dirty and had to be cleaned for the tape.

The ones from lmc and stylintrucks are not from dakota digital. That's why they are half the price. Does anybody know if there is a major difference in brightness.

Are you opening it from Firefox? If so, try IE or do a file save as and open it with media player. Should work. I am watching it right now.

Everyone that sees them thinks they are pretty freakin bright. They have about double the number of LED bulbs in them. AND if they burn out and you are the original owner, it is covered under warranty.
