47 with 55 rear fenders?
Anyone have a pic of a 47-54 with 55 style rear fenders?----I found a real decent set of 55 rear fenders for a suer price and I just cant invision how they would look on my 1950 1/2 ton--Thank you

I've seen a couple of them with the tri-5 fenders on them and they don't look good to me. I think in both cases they bolted on the whole Tri-5 box and fenders. If it were me, I'd slick them out and sell them for a profit and buy the correct fenders for the truck.

My dad had a 56 stepside bed on his 48 in the late 50's. Back then it was a cool custom upgrade!

It won't hurt anything to clamp them to the box, stand back and take a look and then take a few photos to ponder over.
The, ones I mentioned above were either farm trucks or work trucks that someone had probably replaced a junk box on and used the whole later box, fenders and all. |

Thanks for the input----I got the 55 style home and found a guy in town that claims he has a pair 0f 47-53 fenders in better shape and he will swap----I will see them tomorrow------Thanks again
