motors smoking!

i just put in my crate 350 and got it all hooked up and started it but now its smoking really bad! the motor hasnt been started in more than 2 years! smoking at first normal or should i be worried?

Could have broken a ring when you fired it.. do a compression check. If it's carbed, a bad carb could be the culprit too.. might need a rebuild.

What color smoke black could be carb adjust white maybe water in the gas tank . How long did you run it

Sounds like a carb or a ring problem? Did you get oil pumping through the motor or did you start it dry just curious?

or is it possible some one added oil to the cylinders to prevent rusting or sticking rings? With more information we could give you a better idea of what is wrong. Blue= oil, White= water black= raw or too much un-burnt fuel.
