Hood Problems..
hey guys, i have done the hood scoops on my 79, that are just stick on, and made them fully functional and bondo-ed around them. i had my local body shop do this and it started to crack and looked like sh!t. so i decided to try my luck and did some of it over and used fiberglass resign and bondo. not even a week later its crackin again!! and im painting it in the future and dont want to waste money on paint if it startes to crack on me. im lookin to do a cowl hood, does anyone have any pics of them on the 73-80 modles?? or if u have ne other ideas, please do tell!

Re: Hood Problems..
im thinking that if its just glued on with the two sided tape its prolly too loose.. id either glue it without the tape (silicone) or id rivet it on there and then do the fiberglass and bondo..

Re: Hood Problems..
The rivets on the hood are what made the bondo and fiberglass crack. They created stress points.
