Anybody know what this is from???
Found this tail light in the bottoms over in Arkansas.
And wanted to have a little fun trying to figure out the mystery. I know there's someone here that knows what this is off of.

Re: Anybody know what this is from???
I'm pretty sure it's not GM. I'm thinking Chrysler product.

Re: Anybody know what this is from???
I think you're right, but I couldn't find an exact match....
< '53 Buick Roadmaster Mighty close....the two bullets (one's busted off of the one shown in the opening post) with the dot in between. I think you're right, but this is just not the right model Buick from that year. I should'a recognized it too. The next year Buick made one of my favorite cars. < '54 Buick They also came up with this off the wall concept car..the Wildcat.... a 'Vette / Buick crossbreed. Hmmmm... yeah, same configuration .......... bullets above and below with a dot in the middle.... could be. Still the bezels don't match, and like the Buick, the quarters are squared off too much to fit the curve of that taillight. That's a helluva mystery 4dranch..... Can you see any part numbers or lens series numbers on those ?? Last edited by DB Smith; 12-12-2008 at 10:18 PM. |

here is a better shot: you can also try http://www.carnut.com/photo/list/flist.html check out the 51 fords and then cross reference some other makes as well. P.S. this is also a fun site to look for pics of 60-66 chev/gmc trucks! |

Well......I'll be dogged...YOU'RE RIGHT.
I never would have guessed that. I always thought those had basically flat lens. I gotta hand it to ya. It's dead on !! I'm obviously no Ford man !! Last edited by DB Smith; 12-12-2008 at 11:35 PM. |

Re: Anybody know what this is from???
51's were an odd duck... they had the same basic body as the 49 50, so in passing they look the same, but they revamped the dash, front sheet metal and taillights, they were also the first year for the 2 dr hardtop.

Re: Anybody know what this is from???
I guess I should have described it a little better.
The back of it is curved like it could have been on a bumper. The bottom of it is cracked a little but it has a clear reverse lens. All the red plastic is intact except the little crack above the clear.

Kaiser was a small manufacture that over the years had interest in Studebaker, Jeep, Hudson.
