Re: any REAL bodymen in the OKC area
I need rear quarter work, rockers, cab floor - both sides. here's a pic
I know what most are thinking - not worth it. But, I'd rather just do this one than buy another one and end up doing bodywork to it too. I can just put the money I would spend on a more solid truck into this one and be that much closer to a completed sub. The burb will be eventually gutted to paint interior too. I will provide the patch panels cuz I get them at cost (employee discount thing) Last edited by blazer72; 01-13-2009 at 09:00 PM. |

Re: any REAL bodymen in the OKC area
Patch panels can be your saving grace. Here's a pix of a real steel '32 3-window coupe that a buddy is rebuilding for the owner. It was rear-ended a number of years ago and was just the body shell. I have more pix, but haven't downloaded them as of yet.
Good body people are rare. The talent that enables a person to start with a sheet of 20-ga steel and create a compound curve, beaded panel is an art. That there are patch panels available makes their job easier. I would think that finding a talented person in the OKC area would be an easy search.

Re: any REAL bodymen in the OKC area
nope, I took my 72 K5 to the "one of best in town" I took him just my top after it got tree damage and he didn't do half the **** I asked him to. He just painted over all the **** except one damaged area. I know fiberglass is different - but if you're "one of the best" it should be a no-brainer. Everyone else just does insurance work now.

I am going to guess you either work at Classic or Wesco then. Whats the budget because if I see that much in the pics, it will be alot worse in person. You can PM me if you need to. I see a fair amount of hours of work there.
