WIW? - '79 K30 Dually Dump
Not sure if this is the right section or not, but I didn't see any WIW threads in the "for sale section" so I figured I could try it hear and if it gets moved than fine.
Anyway. I'm thinking of getting rid of my K30 Dually Dump. Rebuilt 350 4bolt main, Bored .030 over, KB Hyper FlatTop Pistons, Small Towing/RV type Cam, redone heads, Edelbrock Intake & Carb, tune up etc etc. Less than 1k on the motor Rebuilt TH400 Trans NP 203 Full Time 4x4 T Case. D60 (SRW) Front End, D70 Rear. 6 Good tires. Interior is kinda ehh - dash is cracked, seat was redone and is good, no carpet or anything. Work truck type interior. Body has New A/M front Fenders and Inner Fenders. Cab was patched up by the previous owner - not a spectaular job, but looks decent from 10feet. I have an extra set of doors (with blue interior panels) and an extra set of fenders as well, I was going to put them on an repaint the entire truck white. FlatBed Dump with an Electric Over Hyd. pump. 8' Fisher Plow, I took the frame off the truck and got the proper one for it - which isn't in the pictures, but I have the proper plow frame and all the correct bracketry with the 8' plow for the truck. Just looking for a Ballpark figure. I see 2wd Dump trucks locally on Craigslist anywhere from $2000-$5000 in the same '73-'91 body style.

Re: WIW? - '79 K30 Dually Dump
When I only read the description I thought $4,000. When I saw the pictures I thought $2,500.
Here are my reasons: No heater, in a plow truck?? Interior looks very shabby. Those two things will really detract from potential buyers. The good thing for you is they are easy fixes. Put your blue door panels on it. Buy a black rubber mat for the floor and put it in. Get your heater working. Then I would ask $4,000 and see where it goes.

I agree with 71swb4x4. Fix up the interior with matching door panels and a floor mat. You do have a lot of positives. The truck is fairly straight, a new motor and an engine compartment that is clean, not an oil covered mess, and good tires. Most people will see that as signs that the truck was taken care of, not hammered to S**t.
Good luck if you choose to sell it. |
