Exclamation what if.......

my son looked under my truck and tranny says "GMC Hydromatic", on the pan, is this a 200r4 or is it 350? its a 1979 GMC 1/2 ton

I don't think the 200 was ever offered in the trucks. It may have been swapped in later, as they will directly interchange with a TH350. A TH350 will have a square pan, with one corner cut off. A 700R4 will be square.

The only transmission pans that I have seen that say that are some of the TH400's from the 1980's. I think that's what you have.
