OK, I'm at the point where I am ready to paint my truck....

Now I'm torn between painting the entire cab the same color, inside and out, or painting the interior a different color.....

outside is a mettalic red, B/C

and I have gunmetal gray carpet to install.....

would a red interior look okay with gray carpet, or do you guys think that I should paint the interior a matching gray or off gray color?

just curious......

here's a pic of the Red, and just think a regular gray color since I don't have a pic of the carpet.....

I'm doing a hugger orange with gray roof and area inside the body side trim. The interior is going to be orange with gray accents on the dash. I'm not sure yet about the carpet, maybe black. The seats will be a gray leather surround with orange/black houndstooth inset. Good luck on yours.

I personally like red/gray combinations. I also like a trucks interior to have a tie in with the exterior. On these models the tie in is the metal paint work to match the exterior. I think it's one of the features that these trucks have intentionally built in , making them unique from the new plastic and cloth trucks we see now days. So, I say paint all the metal one color and add interior of your choice.

Maybe you could paint the lower part of the dash body color and the top part a metallic grey and then the rest of the interior the same metallic grey. That might look cool...

I think your truck would look good with the grey carpet and everything red. You could tie some of your interior upholstery to the carpet color (seat(s), steeringwheel). Corts truck is cool with the 2-tone interior....lot of work doing that on top of already a lot of work just painting it all one color. I always look at the doors and wonder where a good spot to change from exterior to interior color would be. Most Ive seen are right at the edge of the door....you would avoid all this with one color.

Yeah, while I like the 2-tone, I am leaning towards just one color overall because of the time and effort it would take to do the two tone......

I'd say paint the interior red and then eithe used grey accents or make custom trim pieces and use grey uhpolstery to cover the trim pieces.

An uhpolstyer shop would be able to cover the whole interior with any color you wanted. Could have a full red interior or as much or as little grey as you wanted then.

I like the idea of all the interior metal (dash,door sils,etc) red and then have the seats,carpet,etc gray with some red accents or stitching...

Does that one truck have a leather stitched dash?

I will be doing a custom console......so I am definitely leaning towards all red with some accents.......Not a complete 2-tone....but probably have the console grey to match the leather seats and carpet.....

red on red! Im not really a fan of red, but that shade will rock on the inside. IMO, just dont do too much red.

Personally I don't care for everything done in one color, such as red dash, red doors, red seat and so on. But don't get me wrong. If you shoot the entire cab red, accenting the small things in gray would definitely look killer. Keeps it from looking blah, and plain.
