Tires and rims

I found these for sale they are 15x10 295/50/15 rears and 255/60/15 fronts on 15x8,s.Now I know the front tires are a little bigger then the rear but i dont think enough to notice but i only plan on lowering about 2 inches from stock so i wondering if the rubber is too small. It,s a very good price on the tires and rims though and they have never been installed on a vehicle but no good if the rubber is unreasonably too small

Re: Tires and rims

Those would be sick on a 2 inch drop!! If the price is right I would grab em. The difference would not be noticeable. and the rears would be nice and fat!

I think they might look a little small on only a 2" drop but thats just me, I'm not a big fan of too much gap between the tire and the wheel well. I have 295's and about 7" drop on my blazer, IMO I would get bigger rubber.

I picked up some 2 inch drop eibach springs and was planning to just lower the rear accordingly for now as thats all that money allows.the rims that are for sale are what i am looking for but planned on 17,s maybe someday but these 15s are such an awesome deal right now.I am a little old school so I dont really care for the real low look.I dont mind a 4/6 drop in which the tires would be a better fit then but with 15 inch rims would 15 inch rims rub with 2 inch spindles ?.I know the rears have a 5 inch backspace but not sure about the front

I think the rims you are looking at are great, I'd love to find a cheap set to run. You should be fine with the 2" spindles, most people only have a problem with 3" spindles.

Re: Tires and rims

Here is a good side view of a 295 Cooper. I think this is about a 2/2 also. The front is a 235/60 though.

I changed them, because I thought it was too short. You are right about that front tire being taller, and I do think it might look funny, but I am real picky about that kind of stuff. I do like the wheels though.
And heres a thread I posted awhile back that should give you all the info and pics you need.

Re: Tires and rims

reppin those Nor-Cal square-bodies. That size does look small on the blazer....I think that the body kind of overwhelms the rolling stock though. Menace's truck looks good I think.

Re: Tires and rims

yeah I'd buy those. maybe go to a 275/60/15 in the rear. it'll fill it up better. It doesn't seem like much difference but if those back tires are shorter than the front, even by just a little bit(and they are!) It will look a little goofey.

Re: Tires and rims

Nice wheels. The important thing is that the wheels are good sizes. You can always change the rubber later. I'd love to get a good deal on a set of those wheels, those are my sizes.
