hood pin mod

I was driving my truck yesterday and my hood came up. The safty latch stopped it from hitting me in the face. I made some hood pins out of some grade 5 bolts. Works great.

I cut down the bolt and cleaned up the end.

Drilled the end for my pin.

Drilled some holes in both the hood corners and rad cover area.

Here it is mounted.

I used some 1/16 wire to secure the pins to the truck.
Hopefully it'll keep the hood down and keep me from re-sh!tting myself.
