Backfiring through Carb
My brothers truck has an Edelbrock 1406 on his 305. If he gets it to start it will run a minute or two then backfire through the carb and die again.
Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks

Re: Backfiring through Carb
Maybe the ignition timing's off or the timing chain jumped a gear tooth.

Re: Backfiring through Carb
Timing is definitely off.
Probably too advanced. |

Re: Backfiring through Carb
could be timing and cross your fingers it isn't what i'm doing . the cam was bad in my truck it was backfiring and everything. if putting it back in time don't fix it pull valve covers to see if its a whipped cam
