Calling Bag/Air Over Leaf users!
I’m leaning towards installing a bag over leaf setup on the rear of my 80 step side. To those of you that have gone this route:
How is it working out for you? What is the lbs rating of your bags? Any pictures? Should I also use a lowering shackle? I currently have a flip setup with the thick leaf removed, added 2”blocks, and a bolt in C-notch. Thanks!!

Here's how my 77 Cheyenne is set up. I have not had any problems with the AOL set up.

That is correct. We also added a 2" block that is not pictured. This will set you on the bump stop with the top of the pumpkin about 1" from the bed.

You would assume, but so far it has not been an issue. To clarify that statement let me say that when this was originally done I had the stock 350 with a whopping 150hp when new. That was couple to a 3.08 rear, so tire spin was never a problem, hence no axle wrap.
Now that I have a Ramjet 350 installed it's a different story. With 350hp and 400tq along with the lower 1st gear in a 700r4 I do have the ability to spin the tires at will. I am not one to beat on it from a dead start, but I have hit it pretty hard from a rolling start. The tires break free with no adverse affect, and spin again when it hits second. So far I have had no axle wrap/wheel hop issues. I feel that if it were a problem, Cal Trac bars would be a simple bolt on answer.
